Northern Adelaide Veterans' and Families' Hub officially open

The Minister for Veterans’ Affairs, Matt Keogh, officially opened the Northern Adelaide Veterans’ and Families’ Hub on 14 August 2025, bringing the total number of Hubs supporting veterans and families across Australia to ten.

Located in Elizabeth Vale, within the Playford Health Precinct, the Hub is adjacent to allied and other health facilities and public transport and will enhance access to support services. More than a building, the Hub offers a place for community and connection for the more than 11,000 South Australian veterans and families in the region.

Backed by a $5 million Australian Government grant, Lives Lived Well designed the Hub in consultation with the local veteran community, ensuring it will provide a comprehensive, one‑stop wellness centre. The Hub will offer or facilitate access to tailored support in mental and physical health, employment, housing, financial advocacy, transition assistance, and family wellbeing services.

The Hub features dedicated parking, excellent transport links, and shared spaces for veterans and their families, reinforcing social support networks. The Hub is a culmination of community consultation and embodies a veteran-centred, locally responsive approach to wellbeing and support infrastructure.

All current and former serving ADF members, including reservists, and families can access support at any Veterans’ and Families’ Hub.

Nine other Hubs are already operating across the country in Adelaide, Burnie, Caboolture, Darwin, Nowra, Perth, Queanbeyan, Townsville, and Wodonga.

Through a $46.7 million investment, Hubs are also being established in Tasmania, the Hawkesbury, Hunter and Tweed/North Coast regions (NSW), Ipswich (QLD), Surf Coast/Geelong (VIC), and Rockingham (WA).

All new Hubs are expected to be operational by mid-2026, with services to veterans and families likely to start from temporary locations before then.
