An information booklet on the veterans’ legislation changes from 1 July is now available from the DVA website.
The booklet provides an easy-to-read summary of the changes that come into full effect from 1 July 2026, when the improved Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2004 (MRCA) becomes the single ongoing Act for veterans’ entitlements.
The information booklet complements a range of resources available on DVA’s website that can help the veteran community learn more about the changes. This includes:
- more than 20 fact sheets and summaries for particular groups, including VEA veterans and their partners, DRCA veterans, and the children of veterans
- scenarios that demonstrate how the improved MRCA may impact individual circumstances
- frequently asked questions.
The booklet can be downloaded from the Legislation Reform resources page on the DVA website.
The booklet is also available through Veterans’ Access Network shopfronts, Veteran Support Officers, Open Arms offices and Veterans’ and Families’ Hubs.
