DVA clients to receive new look Veteran Card for healthcare

DVA clients are receiving new look Veteran Cards to access healthcare. Health providers can accept the Veteran Cards from DVA clients for their treatments as usual. Client entitlements remain the same.

The three colour variants of the veteran card: gold, white and orange. The text says: "The new Veteran Card gold, New look. Same benefits and entitlements."

DVA health cards expiring July 2020 will be replaced with the new look Veteran Card (Gold, White or Orange).

By July this year, DVA clients with existing DVA health cards that expire in July 2020 will be sent the new Veteran Cards in the mail.

The new look Veteran Cards function the same way as the old DVA health cards and clients’ entitlements remain the same. Health providers can accept the Veteran Cards from DVA clients for their treatments as usual.

Veteran Card holders can now access digital versions of their plastic DVA White or Gold Card through the online portal MyService. You will be able to check the health conditions we cover for each person on their digital card.

When the replacement card arrives, veterans must destroy their older Gold, White or Orange cards.
