Have your say and help DVA improve veteran services

DVA regularly brings together a range of ex-service groups and members of the veteran community to tell them our plans, hear their ideas, and get their advice to improve the services we offer veterans and families.

As part of this process, veterans, families, ex-service organisations (ESOs) and all Australians are encouraged to take part in the 2024 review of the National Consultation Framework.

The Framework comprises state and territory forums that represent the interests of veteran groups and consider matters of importance to the veteran community. It provides formal consultation mechanisms among veterans, families, ESOs and DVA.

For the Framework to remain current and to ensure that it is meeting the contemporary needs of veterans and families and the Australian Government, it is reviewed every three years.

This review is mindful that the Royal Commission into Defence and Veteran Suicide may make recommendations in its final report that may impact the future Framework.

DVA wants to hear from veterans and families of all ages, from diverse backgrounds, and living in communities across Australia, to capture the emerging and evolving needs of veterans and families.

To participate in this review, you can complete the National Consultation Framework Review survey or email NCF.Review [at] dva.gov.au (NCF[dot]Review[at]dva[dot]gov[dot]au). Submissions to the survey are entirely anonymous.
