National Consultation Framework Review

Last updated:

DVA’s National Consultation Framework (NCF) is regularly reviewed to assess its ongoing effectiveness to facilitate communication between the veteran and ex-service community.

The next review is scheduled to take place in 2024.  Further information will be updated on this page as it becomes available.

The review is expected to cover:

  • the effectiveness of the NCF structure in facilitating communication and consultation between DVA and the veteran and ex-service community;
  • alternative forum structures and roles;
  • the ability of the NCF to appropriately represent the needs of veterans and the ex-service community and their families; and
  • innovative ways in which to consult with veterans and the ex-service community and their families, in context of the review and in the future.

The review will include consultation with a broad range of stakeholders, including ex-service organisations, veterans and families.

Information on DVA programs and services can be found on the DVA website.

Information on free and confidential counselling and support for current and ex-serving personnel and their families can be found on the Open Arms website.
