Lance Corporal Jared Brown of 2nd Platoon, A Company, 6RAR, with an M72 Light Anti-Tank Weapon ("66"). He fired the weapon while in contact with Taliban fighters during operations in the Mirabad Valley, Afghanistan, in 2010.
Jared completed two deployments to the Middle East Area of Operations, serving in Iraq in 2008 and Afghanistan in 2010. After returning home, he struggled with the invisible wounds of war and tragically took his own life in 2015.
