Simon's reflection
Defence of our nation is an unending task, and I’ve played a small part of our mission to prepare naval power in competition and conflict. The motto "proud to serve" summarises my career and contribution. However, my successes were only possible by the support of a loving, understanding, and tolerant family; and through interpersonal relationships and friendships.
For those starting your careers, embrace the responsibility you now have. Be courageous in your decisions, be curious in your thirst for knowledge, bring your peers and subordinates along with you.
