Stephen's reflection
I was in the 7th intake in 1967 and did recruit training at Puckapunyal after which l went to Singleton for my infantry training. On completion l went to 3RAR Woodside, South Australia.
My feelings about my time as a conscript are varied at times l hated the army but other times l enjoyed the mateship and the different experiences we were having. My time in a war zone was something l will never forget and wish at times l could.
Overall it was a life changing experience. I have never taken life for granted since and appreciate everyday since my service.
