Suzanne's reflection
This is my great great Uncle Cecil Percy Hockey. Born 4/6/1889 in Goulburn. He enlisted at the age of 26 on the 28/8/1914. He was in the 4th Pioneer Battalion A.I.F. He Served in Gallipoli from landing to evacuation. He was the last surviving soldier of his company. Killed in Pozières France near the Windmill due to artillery fire on the 16/8/1916 at the age of 28. His remains have never been recovered. He is recorded on the Tilba Tilba War Memorial, the War Memorial Canberra and Villers‑Bretonneux, France. But there is so much more to his story.
