Lauren's reflection
My pop served in the 2/16th AIF Infantry Battalion in the Second World War. Until I was 12 I didn't understand why he wasn't himself in the lead up to and on ANZAC Day. Once I understood the meaning of ANZAC Day for my Pop, I practised the Cornet until I was good enough to sound the Last Post on ANZAC Day at our local dawn service. My Pop was as proud of me as I was of him. He is the reason I came to work for DVA as supporting those who have served is very close to my heart.
