Louise's reflection
Every Anzac Day I'm reminded of not only how much I miss my father, but what he and ADF did for the protection and freedom of Australia and assist other countries in the same way. My Dad was in the 11th Field Company - mainly building bridges, some of the Kokoda trail. He wouldn't tell us too many stories of his service. He did receive some shrapnel above his right eye defusing a hand grenade. Tough times. Tough conditions, however, pride, loyalty and unconditional commitment to serve in WWII. So proud of you Dad!!!
