Veteran Wellbeing Grants now open – start early to beat the holiday rush

Applications for the 2025–26 Veteran Wellbeing Grants Program are officially open, with more than $3.8 million in funding available to support projects that improve the health, wellbeing, and connection of Australian veterans and families.

If your organisation has a great idea to strengthen social connections, launch mental health initiatives, or create accessible spaces, don’t wait, start preparing now

The application period runs from 20 November 2025 to 5 February 2026, which means it overlaps with the festive season when many organisations and suppliers close.

Plan ahead to avoid delays

Applications often require quotes and supporting documents, so we strongly encourage you to secure these before the holiday break. Getting organised now will help ensure you can submit a complete application on time.

Eligible organisations can apply for:

  • Small grants of up to $50,000
  • Large grants of up to $200,000.

Previous grant recipients have delivered projects such as equine therapy, culinary wellness programs, retreats, surf therapy, mentoring and development programs, music workshops, and much more. Every project has helped make a real difference in the lives of veterans and families.

Whether you have an innovative idea or a proven program, this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact.

Applications close on 5 February 2026.
