Remembrance Day kitbag and commemorative pack
As Remembrance Day approaches, many will be reflecting on those who have served and sacrificed for our nation and considering how to best commemorate them. Our Remembrance Day kitbag has a wealth of resources to help you plan Remembrance Day your way.
The kitbag contains a suggested order of service with flag protocols, music, sample speeches, the Ode of Remembrance, and ideas on personalising your event or commemoration at home. It also has crafting ideas for crochet, knitted and paper poppies, and a colouring-in activity for the young or the young at heart.
The Remembrance Day kitbag is accessible to all and available to download via the Anzac Portal.
Every year, in the lead-up to Remembrance Day, we post a commemorative pack of printed resources to ex-service organisations, schools and other associations across the country.
This year’s commemorative pack includes posters acknowledging Remembrance Day, and the 80th anniversary of Australia's involvement in the battles of Leyte Gulf and Lingayen Gulf during the Second World War.
The pack also contains Snapshots: Australians in war and conflict, a book of short stories and Food in War – our 2025 DVA calendar, as well as online education resources for teachers, students and anyone interested in discovering more about Australia’s military history.
Digital copies of the commemorative pack are available on the Anzac Portal. For a printed copy, please email education [at] dva.gov.au (education[at]dva[dot]gov[dot]au).
