The more than 25,000 veterans, current-serving ADF personnel and families of veterans located in the Tweed/North Coast region have received a much-needed boost to local support and services.
Officially opened earlier today by The Hon Matt Keogh MP, Minister for Veterans' Affairs and Defence Personnel, the new Tweed/North Coast Veterans’ and Families’ Hub will provide tailored mental health and wellbeing services, developed through consultation and co-designed with the local veteran community.
RSL LifeCare will work in conjunction with local ex-service organisations, including RSL Queensland, and service providers to prioritise effective cross border referral pathways ensuring continuity of care, reduced access barriers, and the creation of a network of support on both sides of the NSW/QLD border.
Located at 145 Wharf in Tweed Heads, the Hub’s services were soft launched from its permanent floor (Level 3) on 15 July 2026. This level and the rooftop space is exclusively for Hub use, a feature unique to the Tweed/North Coast Hub.
Of the 18 nominated Hub locations around the country, 13 are now operational and providing services to the veteran community, with Southwest Perth to officially open in the coming months, delivering on the Australian Government’s $46.7 million commitment to expand the Hub network.
