Have your say on ageing, health and care support services

Macquarie University is inviting the veteran community to share their experiences with accessing ageing, support and care services. These important perspectives will help to improve our understanding of what it is like for veterans and families of veterans navigating care and support systems, including challenges.

The university would like to hear from:

  • older veterans aged 60+

  • widow(er)s aged 60+

  • spouses aged 60+

  • family members aged 18+ with relevant experience of caring responsibilities.

Participants will be invited to take part in a one-off interview of approximately 30 to 45 minutes conducted via phone, Microsoft Teams, or in person where feasible.

Participation is voluntary and will not impact pensions, benefits or access to any services. All information provided will be kept confidential.

The study, Health and Care Needs Prior to Residential Aged Care: A Qualitative Analysis, is being undertaken by Macquarie University, the University of Melbourne and Phoenix Australia on behalf of the Department of Veterans’ Affairs.
