Overview
A study undertaken through the National Ageing Research Institute found that a physiotherapy-directed home exercise program incorporating strength and balance elements significantly improved balance and mobility-related outcomes.
This report presents findings from an implementation project in which in which the National Ageing Research Institute worked with six community health services to translate the results of the earlier study. Promoting effectiveness of a screening program for early balance problems and targeted exercise interventions among older community ambulant veterans, into community health settings.
