Veterans and families explore their business dreams
A message from The King’s Trust Australia
Prince's Trust Australia is delighted to announce that we have transitioned to our new name: The King’s Trust Australia!
The evolution of our name is in honour of our Founder, His Majesty King Charles III. It reflects his continued dedication to helping communities around the world through Prince’s Trust, which he began in the UK in 1976, when he was Prince of Wales.
The King's Trust Australia, formerly Prince’s Trust Australia, has been working in Australia for 10 years, and we will continue to help young Australians prosper and to support veterans and veteran families on their journey to entrepreneurship and to build sustainable communities.
From Transition Seminars to Launch Labs, our Defence team has been busy meeting veterans and families in Melbourne, Brisbane and Townsville.
Transition Seminars help ADF members and families prepare for the transition to civilian life, and Launch Lab, a game-changing program that empowers veterans and partners to explore small business, is just one of the ways we help our ADF families.
‘This is one of the best courses I have done,’ wrote on participant. ‘Such a positive place to be – the teamwork was so much fun and a fabulous way to learn.’
‘The workshop helped me understand how to start tackling certain problems in my fledgling company,’ wrote another.
As our Community Mentor David Ballantyne from HomeFront Australia posted on LinkedIn: ‘From simple back of the napkin business planning, to how to communicate ideas effectively, the free program demystifies elementary business planning principles for those Australian veterans and spouses looking to dip their toe in the water.’
We have more Launch Labs and Transition Seminars scheduled. See The King’s Trust website for details.
