As Veterans’ Health Week 2025 wraps up, it’s a great time to reflect on how we can continue to prioritise our health and wellbeing, not just for one week, but every day of the year.
Setting personal health goals is a powerful way to take charge of your wellbeing. Whether it’s trying a new workout, eating more nutritious meals, practicing mindfulness, or simply getting better sleep, small steps can lead to big changes.
- DVA’s Wellbeing and Support Program (WASP) is here to help. This 12-month program connects veterans with a dedicated case worker to support your goals and link you with services and activities that suit your needs.
- The Defence and Veteran Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2025–2030 outlines a shared vision to support mental health across service, transition and beyond. It expands the focus beyond clinical care to include everyday wellbeing. Read the strategy to see how we’re working together to support healthier, more fulfilling lives.
- Open Arms offers a wide range of tools to help you live well, covering everything from sleep and nutrition to mindfulness and connection. If you’re looking for inspiration or need some help getting started, the Open Arms website is a great first step.
No matter where you are on your health journey, every step forward – whether through connection, nourishment or movement, makes a difference. Celebrate your progress, set new goals, and keep making choices that support your wellbeing.
