Health and treatment

We may issue you a card to reduce costs of health care, medicine, transport or energy. It may also cover care overseas. We offer job support and help to build social networks. We can also support you to stay at home, or guide a move into aged care.

We are working to identify and address advertisements that may mislead you about DVA health care services. Visit our newsroom for more information.
  • Veteran healthcare cards

Our cards may give free or cheaper health care or discounts on medicine, transport, bills and more

  • Local or overseas medical care

We may pay care costs if you're here or overseas, and cover travel to medical care in Australia

  • Injury or health treatments

How we help you get care for your physical or mental health, or check your exposure to substances

  • Care at home or aged care

We can help you stay at home, return home after a hospital stay, or move into residential aged care

  • Help to cover healthcare costs

News

The Department of Veterans' Affairs acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia. We pay our respects to Elders past and present.
