Laws that cover claims

There are different laws that set out rules for us to help you with health care and benefits. The laws that cover you will depend on when you served and the type of military service you did.

  • The VEA

    Certain service before 1 July 2004 is covered under this Act

  • The DRCA

    You may get benefits under this Act if you have a service related injury from before 1 July 2004

  • The MRCA

    The benefits and payments we pay if you were injured in service after 30 June 2004

    We use these to connect your injury or illness to your service
