Bereavement payments

A bereavement payment is designed to help with the costs that may follow the death of a pensioner or a current or former serving member. The bereavement payment you may receive will depend on when the person who died was injured.

Bereavement payment and assistance under the MRCA

Access our one-off bereavement payment if your partner was receiving benefits under the MRCA

Bereavement payments, funeral benefits and other assistance under the VEA

We can help you with the costs after the death of a veteran if they received benefits under the VEA
