Updated RAP National Guidelines/Form on Home Medical Oxygen Therapy

The Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) has recently reviewed the Rehabilitation Appliances Program (RAP) National Guideline for the supply of Home Medical Oxygen Therapy.

DVA has also updated the D0804 Home Medical Oxygen Therapy and/or Respiratory Home Therapy Appliances form.

Both documents have been amended to provide a stronger prescriber focus. These can be found at:

Regular reviews of oxygen prescriptions are encouraged to ensure current needs are being met.
