Veterans’ and Families’ Hub Expansion - Information Sessions
As part of the Federal Budget, the Australian Government is investing $46.7 million for eight new Veterans’ and Families’ Hubs across the country, to provide important services to veterans and families in areas with significant Defence and veteran communities. Commitment to two further investments in Southeast Queensland and Tasmania are also continuing.
The new hubs will be located in:
- Geelong/Surf Coast, VIC
- Hawkesbury region, NSW
- Hunter region, NSW
- Ipswich, QLD
- Northern Adelaide, SA
- Queanbeyan, NSW
- Southwest Perth, WA
- Tweed/North Coast region, NSW
Grant funding of $5 million is available to support the establishment of each new hub. Building on the existing hubs network, the new hubs will help connect veterans and families to a range of wellbeing services in their local area.
Starting 14 November 2022, DVA is running a series of online information sessions for ex‑service organisations, community organisations, and other parties that may be interested in leading one of the eight new hubs.
