Veteran Wellbeing Grants program now open!
The 2022-23 Veteran Wellbeing Grants (VWG) program is now accepting applications from eligible organisations interested in delivering tailored projects and activities for veterans and families.
The aim of the grant program is to deliver funding to community and ex-service organisations that provide local veterans and families with projects that sustain and enhance health and wellbeing.
Eligible organisations are invited to apply for grants of up to $50,000 for local, community-based projects and grants of up to $150,000 are also available for projects that deliver wellbeing support projects and activities of broad-scale benefit to veterans and families in the community.
This funding provides organisations the means to improve social connection for veterans through building repairs and maintenance or developing resources such as digital technology that enhances physical and mental wellbeing tailored to veterans and their community.
Projects or activities that can be funded range from camping to cooking and healthy eating workshops; sporting activities and exercise classes, such as meditation and yoga; excursions, or even the development of apps that support wellbeing.
The Veteran Wellbeing Grants program combines the former Supporting Younger Veterans and Veteran and Community Grants into a single program.
Applications close at 9:00pm AEDT on 8 December 2022.
For information on eligibility, grant criteria and how to apply is available on the Community Grants Hub website.
