Have your say: DVA’s dental program

From today, members of the veteran community are encouraged to have their say on the Department of Veterans’ Affairs’ (DVA’s) dental program.

DVA is undertaking a review of its dental program to investigate how it can continue to meet the current and future needs of the veteran community.

DVA is committed to supporting the lifetime health and wellbeing of our veterans.  It is well established that maintaining oral health and regular dental attendance can contribute to an individual’s overall health and wellbeing.

The consultation process provides an opportunity for you to raise issues or concerns of relevance to you or your stakeholders.

Your input will help guide the development of any changes to improve the dental program to better meet the needs of our veterans and their dependents.

The consultation period opens today, 16 November, and closes 18 December 2020.

For more information, including a copy of the discussion paper, visit the consultation webpage dva.gov.au/dental-review.

Feedback must be submitted by 18 December 2020 using the form within the discussion paper, and emailed to the Dental Review team dental.review [at] dva.gov.au (dental[dot]review[at]dva[dot]gov[dot]au)

DVA is keen to hear from our key stakeholders and encourage you to consider participating in this important review.
