Government responds to Senate committee’s TPI recommendation

The Government has provided its response to a recommendation by the Senate Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade References Committee.

The Senate Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade References Committee recently held an Inquiry into the Totally and Permanently Incapacitated (TPI) Payment (Special Rate of Disability Pension).

The committee’s report was published on 1 July 2021, and is available on the Australian Parliament House website. The Committee’s sole recommendation was “that the Australian Government consider an increase in the TPI payment”.
