COVID-19 Disaster Payment

From 2 August 2021, veterans and family members may be eligible for the COVID‑19 Disaster Payment.

This payment will be available to those who have lost working hours due to a COVID-19 public health order, including those who receive an income support payment such as:

  • Service Pension
  • Income Support Supplement
  • Veteran Payment
  • Age Pension paid by DVA
  • Education Allowance

Different rates of payment are available depending on individual circumstances.

The COVID-19 Disaster Payment will be made by Services Australia.  Applications can be made through your myGov account.
