Anzac Day mail-out

The 2020 Anzac Day mail-out went out to more than 17,800 recipients across the country. This year’s Anzac Day poster has both a Second World War and Navy theme and features the sinking of the Bartolomeo Colleoni by HMAS Sydney in July 1940. 

In addition to the Anzac Day poster, the mail-out includes the education resource Australian Women in War: Service, Courage and Care, a Wartime Snapshot featuring a short essay based on this year’s poster, and a series of classroom activities for students. 

Also included in the mail-out are History in Focus cards, commemorating significant moments in Australian military history featuring:  

• the 50th Anniversary of Operation Hammersley in the Vietnam War  
• the 25th Anniversary of the Rwanda Peacekeeping Mission: Operation TAMAR 
• the origins of the word ‘Anzac’. 

Flyers and resources brochures highlight new online electronic resources, teaching activities and the Saluting their Service Commemorative grants program.
