Veterans’ Health Week 2024 your best yet

Hundreds of events were held across Veterans’ Health Week 2024, 13-20 October, with the ‘Keep Connected’ theme encouraging everyone to learn more about the importance of being socially connected.

The veteran community came together to put on more than 780 events before, during and after the official week—the most ever for this long-running annual campaign.

We’re aiming to make Veterans’ Health Week 2025 even bigger and better. To help us achieve this and plan for next year, we’d love you to tell us about your 2024 Veterans’ Health Week experience by completing the relevant survey below:

Your participation in the survey is entirely voluntary and should only take around three to four minutes to complete, depending on your answers. The surveys are open until 17 November 2024.

Thank you to all those who hosted one of the many great events, and also to those who participated, helping to build connections throughout the veteran community.

We hope everyone has learned a bit more about social connection, its positive impact on mental health, and how it can lead to a longer life, better overall health, and improved wellbeing.

Even though the official week is over, there are still some events running. To see what’s on and to read more about VHW, visit www.dva.gov.au/vhw.
