Veterans’ Health Week 2023 coming soon!

Stay tuned – exciting information on the dates and theme for Veterans’ Health Week (VHW) 2023 is coming soon!

Applications will also open soon for ex-service organisations (ESOs) and community groups to apply for funding to help host a VHW event or activity for their local veteran community.

Eligible organisations can receive $720 in one-off funding to support their VHW activity. Events held for VHW must demonstrate a link to the theme (soon to be announced), and must include an informative/educational element, such as a presentation, to be considered for funding.

In previous years, organisations have hosted events like bowling days, outdoor games and activities, social barbeques and facilitated educational talks. You can be as creative as you want to help encourage veteran participation in this important and fun week.

VHW is an annual DVA initiative that aims to address common health issues faced by the veteran community and promote health and wellbeing in the everyday life of veterans and families.
