NT MHPE volunteers choose how and when they spend their time volunteering and obtain great satisfaction from one on one talks with their peers about men’s health issues.
The NT currently has a small band of five Men’s Health Peer Education (MHPE) volunteers, including volunteers located in Katherine and Alice Springs. NT MHPE has both male and female volunteers. These volunteers are also involved in local ex-service organisations and have other volunteering roles. The MHPE group meets approximately four times a year, to share information and support each other.

In 2017, the NT MHPE volunteers have already been involved in Defence Community Organisation Open Days in Darwin and Katherine and a "Pit-Stop" event for Men's Health Week in June.
Our volunteers are looking forward to participating in events during Veterans' Health Week in Octorber, including to 10,000 Steps Challenge.
The NT MHPE volunteer representative is Ron Blanchard. Ron has been an MHPE volunteer since 2011 and is active in the programme and local community. Ron has a wide range of interests and welcomes direct contact from those wishing discuss men’s health issues.
