Veterans' Health Week 2024
This year, Veterans’ Health Week (VHW) is being held from 13 to 20 October 2024 with the theme Keep Connected. This theme aims to promote good health and wellbeing in the everyday life of veterans and families, and shines a spotlight on the importance of social connectedness. Events will be held from 1 to 31 October 2024 inclusive. For a list of event opportunities in your State or Territory, check the national event calendar closer to the dates.
Applications for VHW funding are now closed.
Host an event
Ex-service and community organisations are encouraged to host an event for their local community in support of VHW.
Eligible organisations can receive $1000 in one-off funding to support their event. Events held for VHW must demonstrate a link to the theme Keep Connected, and must include an informative/educational element, such as a presentation, to be eligible for funding. Your local DVA Community Support Advisers (CSAs) may be able to provide ideas and inspiration for your event. Find contact details for CSAs at the bottom of this webpage.
Events can be held from 1 to 31 October 2024 inclusive.
Applications for VHW funding are now closed.
