    From February 2018, applications for Department of Veterans' Affairs grants will be made online, through the Australian Government's Community Grants Hub.

    The Veteran and Community Grants (V&CG) program aims to maintain and improve the independence and quality of life for members of the veteran community by providing funding for projects that support activities and services to sustain or enhance health and wellbeing.

  • Building Excellence in Support and Training grants

    Building Excellence in Support and Training (BEST) grants support ex-service organisations in providing compensation and welfare assistance to the Defence and veteran communities.

  • Grants-In-Aid

    This program aims to support the role of National ex‑service organisations (ESOs) which provide coordinating and representational support within the veteran and Defence community.

  • Long Tan Bursary

    The Long Tan Bursary scheme was established to help eligible children of Vietnam veterans meet the cost of post-secondary education.

  • Saluting Their Service Commemorative Grants Program

    The Saluting Their Service (STS) grants are designed to support activities and projects that highlight the sacrifice and service of Australia’s servicemen and women.

  • Supporting Younger Veterans grants program

    The Supporting Younger Veterans (SYV) grants program supports the needs of younger veterans as they leave the Australian Defence Force and integrate back into civilian life, with all the challenges that accompany that unique transition.
