Back to topWho we are
The purpose of DVA is to support the wellbeing of those who serve or have served in the defence of our nation, and their families. We deliver government programs for war veterans, serving and former serving members of the ADF, Australian Federal Police and their families. Annually, we inform Parliament about our performance regarding three key outcomes:
- sustaining financial stability and independence for eligible individuals
- improving their physical health and overall quality of life through healthcare services
- honouring the contributions of servicemen and women by fostering recognition, preserving wartime heritage, and organising official commemorations.
