The Invictus Games being held in Sydney from 20-27 October is a sporting event for wounded, injured and ill veterans and active service personnel which highlights the power of sport to inspire recovery, support rehabilitation and generate a wider understanding and respect for those who serve their country.

Competitors from 18 nations will compete in 11 adaptive sports events at the Invictus Games 2018.

The Australian Government Department of Veterans’ Affairs is proud to be associated with the Invictus Games 2018 and is using this event to further advance its commitment to delivering best-practice government programs and services for war veterans, members of the Australian Defence Force, members of the Australian Federal Police and their dependants.

To that end, the Department is hosting a series of Forums and Conferences in the lead-up to and during the Games, inviting Australian and world experts and decision makers to Sydney to discuss and advance policy and thinking to ensure Australia continues to provide the best possible support to our veteran community.
