

The Department of Veterans' Affairs serves members of Australia's veteran and defence force communities, their war widows, widow(er)s, and dependants through programmes of care, compensation, commemoration and defence support services.
The West Australian State Office employs over 150 staff to serve 7,325 war widow(ers) and widow(ers), 22,500 Service and Disability Pensioners, 12,900 Dependant's Pensioners, 680 allowances under VCES, a total treatment population of 29,900 and 17,800 Defence Service Homes policy holders.
