Accessibility

Australian Government departments are obliged by the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 to ensure that online information and services are accessible by people with disabilities. Departments are also required to make online resources accessible to people with technical constraints, such as older browsers and lower speed internet connections.

We have made every effort to make the DVA website accessible and easy to use for everyone, no matter what browser you choose to use, and whether or not you have any disabilities.

The website should work adequately on all commonly used browsers, and with accessibility hardware and/or software. Although it is designed for a 1024x768 screen resolution, the site will scale to both higher and lower resolutions.

See: Resizing text for tips on how to change text size on a web page

For technical reasons, this website has some documents provided in formats other than HTML. If you cannot access these documents, please contact the department and tell us what you require.
