Who do I contact to find out if a DVA cardholder is eligible for treatment?

The number to call is 1300 550 457 press option 3 and then option 1. This number will give providers information regarding eligibility and prior approvals.

Am I eligible to provide services to DVA treatment cardholders?

With a few changes to the Statutory Registration of Providers recently medical and allied professionals must have a Medicare Australia Number to provide services to DVA cardholders. If you are unsure please contact DVA on 1300 550 457 press option 3 and then option 3.

Who do I contact with payment of claim issues?

Medicare Australia processes claims on behalf of DVA. If there is an issue with payments such as providers wanting to check on the status of a claim please contact Medicare Australia on 1300 550 017
