Veteran partnering private hospitals

The Department has entered into Tier 1 Hospital Services Agreements with a majority of organisations to provide private hospital services to eligible members of the veteran community throughout Australia. The Repatriation Private Patient Principles provides the legislative framework for the provision of these services by Veteran Partnering private hospitals. Generally, for Gold Card holders, admissions to these hospitals do not require prior financial authorisation, however there are some exceptions which include psychiatric and dental services. Admissions for white card holders need to be related to their accepted war caused disabilities.
