Public hospitals 

The Department has entered into Agreements with all State and Territory Governments in Australia to provide treatment and care in their public hospitals to eligible members of the veteran community. The Repatriation Private Patient Principles provides the legislative framework for the provision of these services. Gold Card holders can be admitted to these hospitals without prior financial authorisation, however admissions for white card holders need to be related to their accepted war caused disabilities.
