Veterans' Information Centre

The Veterans’ Information Centre (VIC) is the first point of face to face contact for all benefits and services provided within the State Office. Service Delivery Officers (SDOs) conduct  interviews with clients and are also involved in a range of out-of-office country visits to provide services to rural and remote areas.

The SDO’s provide a holistic approach to service delivery and, where possible, are the single point of contact, whereby the client can expect that the officer who first receives the enquiry will generally see it through to completion.

  • Pays a bereavement payment to the surviving partner or the estate;
  • Sends out and processes claims for funeral benefits; and
  • Advises, as appropriate, the Office of Australian War Graves for commemoration purposes.
