Mental Health and the Military Experience. Free PD webinar.Thursday, 2 May 2019 — Health providers are invited to register for the next two free professional development webinars in the Mental Health and the Military Experience series. These are designed to support practitioners to better respond to the mental health needs of veterans.

Webinar 11, The Military Experience and Mental Health: Understanding the nexus, will be held on Tuesday, 21 May at 7.15pm to 8.30pm AEST.

Webinar 12, Comorbid Mental Health Conditions in Veterans: Strategies for assessment, case formulation and treatment, will be held on Tuesday, 4 June at 7.15pm to 8.30pm AEST. 

The webinars are produced by the Mental Health Professionals’ Network (MHPN), on behalf of the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, and form part of MHPN’s inaugural online conference Working Better Together.  

There is no need to travel to benefit from this opportunity. To attend either webinar, simply register for the MHPN conference and select the Mental Health and the Military Experience content stream. Doing so will give you access to both webinars and exclusive access to additional professional development activities.

Royal Australian College of General Practitioners Quality Improvement and Continuing Professional Development Program (QI & CPD) points are awarded. The webinars are also suitable for practice nurses and other clinical practice staff.
