Payments are available to compensate veterans, current and former serving members of the Australian Defence Force for impairment and incapacity related to their Defence service.
Compensation payments may be made to family members of a serving member who dies as a result of their defence service.

- permanent impairment compensation
- incapacity payments
- disability pensions
- war widows pension
