Welcome to the travel diary for the Commemorative Mission to United Kingdom for the dedication of the Australian War Memorial, London. The memorial commemorates all those Australian servicemen and women who fought in defence of freedom alongside Britons in two world wars. 27 veteran representatives are taking part in this mission. They have been selected from across Australia and represent all Services, the merchant navy and war widows.
