After a long flight with a stopover in Singapore, the Mission Party arrived safely at Heathrow airport in London where they were met by staff from the Australian High Commission.

The group then went on a short bus tour of Central London where they saw famous landmarks such as Big Ben, Harrods and Trafalgar Square.

The Mission Party also caught a sneak preview of workmen putting the finishing touches on the Australian War Memorial, London, at Hyde Park Corner.
