Registrations for the Vietnam Veterans’ Family Study closed on 7 November 2011
Thankyou to all who registered to take part in this important study.
Main Survey Questionnaires
The Main Survey questionnaires were distributed to all registered participants on or after 23 August 2011.
Study Timeframe
It was initially expected that the Vietnam Veterans’ Family Study would conclude in 2016 however, it is now anticipated that the final research components will be completed by mid 2012. A final report incorporating all the research elements will be completed and handed to the Government in late 2012. This is over four years earlier than originally programmed and will be achieved without compromising the scientific validity of the study.
Research
The first research report from the Vietnam Veterans’ Family Study, The Re-Analysis of Sons and Daughters Project, has been completed. This report, along with other research undertaken to investigate positive and negative factors which affect the health of veterans and their families, has been used to assist in developing the health questionnaires for the study.
