Understanding the impact of war service

Being in the Defence Force not only impacts the Defence Force member, but also their family and friends. War and peacekeeping activities can have particular effects on work and relationships.

The transition from military to civilian life can also be a particularly stressful time. The VVCS – Veterans and Veterans Families Counselling Service offers a ‘Stepping Out Program’ for discharging Defence personnel and their partners.
