DVA services for Vietnam Veterans’ children
DVA provides programs and services for the children of Vietnam veterans, including:
- mental health support through the VVCS––Veterans and Veterans Families Counselling Service;
- medical support through the Vietnam Veterans’ Children Support Program; and
- educational support through the Veterans’ Children Education Scheme and the Long Tan Bursary.
Counselling services are available to all Australian veterans, their partners and children through the VVCS – Veterans and Veterans Family Counselling Service (VVCS). In particular sons and daughters of Vietnam veterans, of any age, can access the VVCS. This is a confidential and free service and may be accessed by calling 1800 011 046.
