Australian Government Hearing Services Program

The Australian Government Hearing Services Program (HSP) is a Commonwealth-funded program, providing eligible people, including veterans, with access to hearing services. Services include hearing assessments, management advice and support, and the fitting of fully-subsidised hearing devices where needed — 'fully subsidised' means you do not have to pay for them.

The HSP provides a range of over 160 high-quality digital devices available to you, including both in-the-ear and behind-the-ear hearing devices. These devices are updated regularly to keep pace with advances in technology.

If you are a veteran and have a DVA accepted hearing disability you can access to devices and services offered. DVA accepted hearing disability may include sensorineural hearing loss or deafness, resulting from your military service. See if you are eligible.

The HSP is managed by the Department of Health.
