F-111 Study of Health Outcomes in Aircraft Personnel (SHOAMP) Health Care Scheme

On 19 August 2005, the Government announced its response to the Study of Health Outcomes in Aircraft Maintenance Personnel.

As part of this package, the Government has decided to replace the Interim Health Care Scheme (IHCS) with the newly created SHOAMP Health Care Scheme. On 19 August 2005, all participants in the IHCS automatically transitioned to the equivalent participant category in the new SHOAMP Health Care Scheme.
There are two participant categories in the SHOAMP Health Care Scheme.

Further details on the new Scheme are outlined in the leaflet ‘Health Benefits Available to Participants of the F-111 Study of Health Outcomes in Aircraft Maintenance Personnel (SHOAMP) Health Care Scheme’. For information regarding the brochure, please click here (PDF format, 268 Kb).

The SHOAMP Health Care Scheme closed to new applicants on 20 September 2005.
